Program

「Development of Photochemical and Electrosynthetic Strategies for C1 Building Blocks with Flow Chemistry」

  • A/Prof Anastasios Polyzos
  • University of Melbourne
  • Research fields: Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Chemical Synthesis, Catalysis, Photocatalysis, Organic Chemistry, C-H Activation, Flow Chemistry, Electrosynthesis, Synthetic Methodology

A/Prof. Anastasios Polyzos is Australia’s foremost authority on flow chemistry and photocatalysis. His research has pioneered the development of continuous flow technologies for synthesis in the manufacture of high value chemicals and pharmaceutical products.

The Polyzos Research Group has a track record in developing enabling technologies in synthetic organic chemistry, catalysis and flow chemistry to deliver solutions to the chemical and pharmaceuticals sector. His laboratory is one of the largest and best equipped in the world devoted to flow chemistry and catalysis research. The Polyzos Group attracts top international researchers and leading industry collaborators. His recent results are finding application in the development of scalable and efficient continuous flow processes for the manufacture of drug molecules. In this seminar, A/Prof. Polyzos will present on the development of photochemical and electrochemical synthesis strategies using C1 building blocks in flow chemistry. (This seminar is conducted in English.)
