The Amiralian Group (led by Dr. Nasim Amiralian) is a research group that draws inspiration from natural mechanisms and materials to develop environmentally friendly new products. Their mission is to recycle agricultural waste into sustainable and commercially valuable resources, collaborating with industry, indigenous communities, local societies, and farmers to aim for both environmental conservation and economic development. So far, we have created a variety of products such as food packaging materials, coatings with antibacterial and antifouling functions, medical gloves, biodegradable masks, and materials used for wound treatment. We are also challenging the development of nano-coatings that protect metals from corrosion and innovative catalytic technologies. In this seminar, there will be a lecture on sustainable product development using biomass. (This seminar is conducted in English.)
